Practical information
To guardians
For our vision "a good start in life" to become reality, we depend on close cooperation between parents and school. We post general information about homework, field trips and other things on infomentor.se. It is also used for dialogue with guardians if necessary. As a guardian, you are always welcome to contact us if you have any questions.
Guardians are welcome to visit the school, but kindly contact us beforehand so that we can receive you in the best possible way. During the year, we have parent meetings, development talks, school councils and graduation parties, which are all an important part of the collaboration between home and school.
Leave
It is important that the students are at school during the semesters and that trips are planned for the academic year's holidays and summer holidays. Leave is not granted for national exams. The student and their guardian are responsible for ensuring that the student does not fall behind in their schoolwork in the event of any leave.
Excerpt from the Swedish School Act, chapter 7
Pupils may be granted shorter leave for individual matters. The principal decides on holidays longer than 10 days. When the leave is only up to 10 days, the principal can assign someone else to make decisions about leave. According to the School Act, a decision on leave must be based on an overall assessment of the student's situation. In the assessment, consideration must be given to the length of the absence, the student's study situation, the possibilities of compensating for the lost teaching in various ways, how urgent the leave is for the student and whether the student fulfills his school duty or participates in the education without being required to attend school. Situations where the provision could be relevant are e.g. on certain trips, family celebrations or religious holidays.
Insurance
The students are insured via Trygg-Hansa and student insurance applies to accidents both during school hours and their free time. In the event of an accident, contact the school to report the damage.
Transportation
Pupils in the immediate area are offered school transport. For questions about the bus trip, contact the school.
Lunch
Lunch is served in the dining room of Bruks' church (Brukskyrkan) and is delivered by the restaurant Köket in Skellefteå.
