Common questions and answers
About your choice of school and Bruksskolan
Practical questions
Can I choose school myself?
Yes, you can. All children receive a placement at a school in their home municipality. But you always have the right to apply to another municipal school or an independent school.
What is an independant school? (friskola)
An independent school is not run by the public sector. Bruksskolan follows the curriculum, laws and regulations that apply to all primary schools.
What sets Bruksskolan apart from other primary schools? (grades 0-5)
Bruksskolan is an independent school with Christian values. We start each day with a gathering centered around our core values, where we talk, for instance, about how to treat each. We also work actively with issues regarding our values in situations that arise. We accept fewer students, which means that we have smaller classes and can more easily adapt the teaching to the individual.
How do you work for a safe environment?
We have zero tolerance for abusive behavior and the school works continuously for a safe environment for students and staff.
Does it cost anything to attend Bruksskolan?
No it does not. We are financed by municipal grants and do not charge student fees.
What happens if Bruksskolan makes a profit?
Bruksskolan is non-profit-making, everything is rather about offering a school that provides its students with a good start in life. If the business were to turn a profit, every single Swedish crown is reinvested into the business.
How do I apply for a spot at the school?
Fill in the form under the "Apply" tab, after that we will contact you. An expression of interest is not binding
By when should the application be submitted at the latest?
We accept applications on an ongoing basis. You can always choose a school - even when the term has started.
